Coronavirus Update from Higher Horizons
Updated: 20 March 2020
Higher Horizons is currently working to ensure the safety of its staff, and the schools, teachers, and students we work with. While schools are preparing to close, Higher Horizons will remain open online. Our priority is to support our schools and colleges.
Events and Activities
We have had to cancel many of our upcoming activities, but some school-based activities may go ahead, unless the school wishes to cancel. We will be in touch with all schools with upcoming bookings to ask what their situation is. If you would like to talk to us about your circumstances in the meantime, please contact your Higher Horizons Hub Officer or email email@example.com
Some of the universities we work with are currently taking the decision to reduce the operations of their campuses. This means that upcoming campus-based activities are likely to be cancelled. We will be in touch to confirm with schools where this is the case.
Higher Horizons team members
The Higher Horizons team work across four different universities. Each university is responding to the pandemic in different ways. Many of the team are currently transitioning to home-working. We will all be working from home by Friday 20th March.
Supporting your School or College
Higher Horizons is working hard to make sure we can support schools and colleges during this time. We will provide support to learners and parents via our online Ask a Question facility. We have also prepared packs of resources that schools can distribute to learners once schools close. These resources will provide advice and guidance about university progression. We especially want to support Y12 and Y13 learners who may find their journeys to university disrupted by the cancellation of UCAS fair and Open Days
